Die ANC staan nog ’n hele entjie van sy eie politieke Getsemane, ook genoem die Tuin van Verraad. Maar by die voorposte word sopnat Judas-soene al op die wang geplant – al is dit nog ’n stywe draffie van so 13?maande na Mangaung in Bloemfontein.

Hoe nader die ANC aan sy Tuin van Verraad – Mangaung – kom, kan ’n mens nogal taamlik seker wees dat meer as 30 silwerstukke ook deel van die politieke buskruit gaan wees.

Ons is mos nou al immers gewoond daaraan dat daar manne is met platinum-kredietkaarte wat vir honderde afgevaardigdes eerder van die kolonel se hoender koop, terwyl die res maar die asvaal kerrie’tjie en die bruin broodjie in die wit polistireen-bakkie moet verteer.

Hoekom sal ek nou ’n warm blikkie koeldrank drink as ek ’n yskoue kasteel of Johnny Walker Black met ys kan kry?

Dit is in Mangaung waar die ANC-krygers sal besluit wie die hoof-indoena gaan wees wat die party vir die volgende vier jaar gaan lei. 

Jacob Zuma se assegaai is vlymskerp geslyp en lê reeds waterpas in sy regterhand terwyl sy knopkierie kiertsregop in sy linkerhand staan.

En daai assegaai en knopkierie gaan hy nie terugtrek nie. Nie vir die een wat durf probeer om hom in ’n politieke hinderlaag te lei nie. Hy gaan vir die kop mik. Soos hy met Thabo Mbeki gedoen het. Hoor my lied. Zuma gaan dan wéér praat van ’n dooie slang soos toe hy Mbeki in Polokwane verbrysel het.

Maar een ding is seker: die bloed gaan vloei. En as ek die dolos-gooiers kan glo, gaan dit beslis nie Zuma se bloed wees nie.

My voorspelling is Zuma gaan byna heeltemal ongeskonde van die slagveld afstap. Dalk ’n swelsel teen die kop. Maar niks meer nie.

Ja, die Zuma-assegaai is skerp. Kyk net hoe netjies het hy die klippe uit sy skoene geskud wat sy liddoring moeilikheid gegee het.

Gwen Mahlangu-Nkabinde en daardie regeringsverkwister, Sicelo Shiceka, wat gemaak het asof Suid-Afrika se staatskas sy persoonlike bankier was, is netjies uit gemaneuver.

Ook die ANC se Piet-Skiet, Bheki Cele, het nie die argwaan van Zuma ontsnap nie. Wel tydelik geskors, maar as jy nou regtig van ’n outydse cowboy-moewie hou waar die held eers lood deur albei die skobbejak se bene jaag en dan sy rug draai en wegstap, moet jy dié storie dophou. Wat daarna gebeur, is dat die gewonde slymbol na sy pistool gryp wat nooit te ver van sy hand is nie, maar net sodra hy sy hand oplig om die held in die rug te skiet, draai die cowboy om en skiet hom tussen die oë.

Dis nou wat met genl. Cele gebeur. Zuma wag net dat hy sy move maak, dan plant hy Cele se politieke doodskoot.
By die herlees van F.A. Venter se Bedoelde Land skets hy hoe die trekkerboer Rudolf Dreyer sy nuutgevonde vryheid moet prysgee. Dit kon netsowel ’n hedendaagse politieke roman gewees het as ’n mens kyk wat vandag binne die ANC-maag aan’t rommel is.

Om F.A. Venter te parafraseer: Vandag is anders as die dag toe Suid-Afrika op sy Groot Trek na die nuwe Suid-Afrika was. Toe het ons die land voor ons sien lê in sy mistige skoonheid. Maar vandag is die land toe onder die reën. Niks is sigbaar nie. Al wat daar is, is herinnering, ’n pyn en ’n verlange na ’n Nelson Mandela.

Ek kry die gevoel asof ons almal ’n onrustige weemoed het, ’n tamheid in die liggaam en gees wat ons in hierdie oomblik vasknel.

Soos Dreyer dan ook helaas uitroep, so roep baie van ons seker ook uit: “Die bedoelde land?.?.?. maar nou die verlore land!”

En net soos Dreyer kyk ons ook dan met stil oë na die reën en die mistigheid wat die land bedek en ons soek na die bakens wat ons voorheen geïnspireer het, maar die reën bedek alles.

Maar die son sal wel weer deurbreek. Ons kan hierdie geknelde land van ons omdraai deur in die toekoms nee dankie te sê vir kornuite soos Julius Malema en die ANC in die toekoms by die stembus straf.

Laat die ANC-kohorte dus mekaar maar louter tot net die pit van die ANC-kers oor is. Dit kan mos net goed wees vir ons demokrasie.

En dan sal ons hopelik weer eendag kan uitroep: “Ons is terug in die Bedoelde Land.”

Iewers moet die wind tog draai. 

 

ONS VOLK.

Getallegewys is ons volk klein teenoor ander volke. Maar as die gesamentlike prestasies wat ons volk in die verlede behaal het met die prestasie van veel groter volke vergelyk word, sien ons dat die Boerevolk ‘n reus kan wees as hy sy Godgegewe gawes en talente voluit benut.
‘n Mens staan verstom as jy dink dat ons voorouers binne ‘n skamele honderd jaar na die Groot Trek ‘n volwaardige, ontwikkelde land van niks af kon opbou, volledig met selfs ‘n eie, volwaardige taal en prestasies van wêreldgehalte op elke gebied.
Meer nog, hierdie reusagtige ontwikkelingswerk is gedoen terwyl hulle twee vryheidsoorloë moes veg teen die destydse magtigste moondheid in die wêreld.

Terwyl ‘n oordadige oormag hierdie roofoorloë teen ons volk gevoer het; terwyl Engeland ‘n volskaalse volksmoord teen ons volk se vroue en kinders gepleeg het, het een van die grootste skandes denkbaar ‘n smet op ons volk se geskiedenis gelaat: Op 7 November 1901, gister presies honderd-en-tien jaar gelede, het die Britse invallers die veragtelike National Scouts Corps gestig.
Hierdie mag was die breinwerk van generaal, APJ Cronjé, voormalige aanvoerder van die Potchefstroomse kommando en broer van generaal Piet Cronjé. Die geskiedskrywer, AM Grundligh, skryf in sy boek, Die hensoppers en joiners, dat selfs die aartskurk, Milner, van die National Scouts gesê het: “Ek erken dat die oorgrote meerderheid van hulle manne van ‘n lae tipe is wat lae motiewe het.”

Terwyl die Boerevolk na die oorlog moeisaam besig was om ons land op te bou, moes hulle ook die terugslag ervaar van ontroue leiers wat die jongmanne wat die konsentrasiekampe oorleef het, opgevorder het om as kanonkos in Engeland se oorloë te dien. Dit het gelei tot ‘n rebellie waarin troue burgers en generaals dood is en in die tronk gesmyt is.
Maar steeds het die kern van die Boerevolk, ten spyte van al hierdie terugslae en remskoene, gebou en ‘n gesonde republiek ontwikkel, waarin ons selfs ruim vir ‘n oormag agterblyers gesorg het.
Dit het ons voorvaders reggekry met harde werk, suiwer prestasie, toewyding en geloofstrou.

Vandag is ons volk weer uitgelewer aan ‘n plunderende oormag en ‘n volksmoord. Derduisende van ons volksgenote is reeds vermoor, gemartel, landuit gedwing of in uitsiglose armoede gedompel.
Die vraag vir elkeen van ons is nou: Waar staan ék?
Gaan ek kruipend oorsluip na my volk se vyande in die hoop dat dit daar met my beter sal gaan, as word ek selfs deur hulle verag?
Gaan ek iewers in ‘n volksvreemde stroom tussen die getalle-oorwig van koues, loues en onaktiewes vir my ‘n hensopperige korttermynskuiling soek?
Gaan ek my oë sluit vir die plundering van my volk se bates en my ore vir die sterwensroggel van my mense, en my maar besig hou met die leë afleidings van sport en ontspanning waarmee die vyand my probeer sus?
Of gaan ek, soos my bittereinder-voorouers, weier om oor te gee? Gaan ek werk en presteer, bid en glo, totdat my volk weer vry is?

The Boeremag trial are now running to be the longest trial in South-African ( and in the world) history- a total of nearly 8 full years! The weird part is that NONE of these men were found guilty as yet- they all are still "awaiting trial!"  Derby-Lewis did not factually kill the terrorist Hani- but was a co-conspirator with Janus Walusz by supplying him with the murder weapon- thus he did not do the killing- but serves a life sentence for conspiracy to murder.For this Derby-Lewis are languishing in the over-populated Potgieter Street prison for almost 16 years now....already an old and sickly man- with no more hope of ever getting parole or reprieve on" humanitarian"  grounds. Neither  will he feel the wind of freedom in his face again- or see his grand children....or like convicts like Shabir Shaik...walk on Durban's beaches again for that matter. Taking in consideration that the racist Thabo Mbeki gave thousands of sentenced murderers and rapists "presidential clemency"- and Jacob Zuma also TWICE released guilty murderers and rapists on "presidential pardon" to walk scott-free from jail because SA's jails were "over populated".Further-more did convicted killer  Robert "The Bomber" McBride-  that killed 3 people in his murder spree at Magoo's Bar in Durban- got parole after only serving 3 years of his life sentence! One should reason that at least Derby-Lewis- who already served more years in jail than most of the "pardoned" killers- would be released as well if the jails were so "over populated"- if nothing else- on his age and health condition. His application was rejected because Hani's family was not "consulted." In the mean-time- thousands of killers were released WITHOUT any of the victim's families "consulted." The Correctional Services top-girl-Mapisa Nqacula- even admitted that the Administration of these thousands released- are " haphazard! " So much for credibility...more like nepotistic racism-  I dare say.

According to the Monkey-Farm in Lethuli-House- McBride's atrocious deed of killing three innocent people is much more "politically motivated" than Derby-Lewis's deed of merely supplying a murder weapon! I wonder what they would've done if Derby-Lewis actually was doing the killing-bit on Hani...maybe he would THEN  qualify as being more "politically motivated."

The question ostensibly jumps to ones mind as to why these vermin in Lethuli-House keep-on gunning and keeping the white Boers in jail?  McBride was THREE years in jail- got parole- was elevated to SA "Ambassador" in Chilli-then became "Head of Security" in Edenvale Municipality for his ghoulish deed of being directly responsible for the deaths of three innocent people.

"My comments on the parole refusal.

On 18 July, 2011 I was called to the office of the chairman of the Pretoria Central Case Management Committee, Mr. Matopa, who informed me that my application for parole had been refused. When I asked him why I was refused he showed me a document which originated from the D.C.S. Minister’s office on which the words ‘further profile July, 2013’ were written diagonally across the document and underlined with a single line. When I asked him why there were no reasons given he could not answer me. 

I have, today, 3 November, three and a half months later, received from the Area Commissioner, gen. Zebilon Monama, a document, dated 3 November, 2011, containing the reasons given by the minister and wish to comment as follows:

What the minister is saying that regardless of the findings of the very people trained to and responsible for recommending, in the case of lifers, and granting parole  for those serving years, the Correctional Supervision and Parole Board (CSPB), who are made fully aware by the Case Management Committee of my suitability for release on parole, she rather places her trust in political reasons provided by people obviously bent on revenge and having no current information whatsoever on which to base their objections.

What happened then is history. What has happened since then is only known to those responsible officials who work with offenders on a daily basis and observe them all day and every day, and only they are qualified to decide on suitability for release or otherwise.

My record in prison and my interaction with staff and other offenders should be the telling factors and are normally so. Why am I treated differently? Why am I not treated with the same administrative proves as all others.

Nature of the offence.

This section contains selected quotes from the judgement by Eloff JP. I have little to say regarding the judgements by either Eloff JP or the Supreme Court of Appeal except that I am not nor have I at any time been proud of what happened, and that had it not been for the political situation at the time the murder would never have happened. The court also referred to the political nature of the deed, and criticised us for not showing remorse. This comment was apparently based on the fact that we pleaded not guilty. Of course we felt remorse, as would any normal person considering the gravity of the crime. 

Offenders attitude to the crime.

I made it clear at all times that were it not for what was seen by my colleagues in the top structures of the Conservative Party(CP), as well as the vast majority of our supporters, as a pending disaster with the handover of power to the ANC alliance the assassination would never have taken place. Dr. A.P. Treurnicht, the leader of the Party, had in May, 1990 called us, at a mass meeting held at the Voortrekker Monument, to the ‘third freedom struggle’ (derde vryheidsstryd). As the previous two ‘freedom struggles’ were in the form of war against the British, one resulting in victory and he second in defeat, and both concerning the retention of political power, I naturally assumed, as did many judging by the numerous acts of sabotage carried out from then on, it was a declaration of a war to ensure the retention of political power. I was not a criminal and had never been convicted of anything more serious than parking offences but was driven in desperation to prevent what we had promised our supporters we would never allow. I was a senior representative of the Party and it was my obligation and duty to do whatever could to ensure the objectives of the Party, accepting that if I did something that was in conflict with party objectives I would be subjected to disciplinary action. This was never done. 

On the contrary, the CP immediately launched a legal aid fund to cover my legal costs. In spite of this fact the Amnesty Committee refused to accept that I had done what I had done in support of the CP and that as a high official, I was a member of the highest body, the parliamentary caucus; I actually had a role in the creation of party policy.

For the crime I committed I was punished by the Court. For supposedly not making full isclosure I was punished with the refusal of amnesty. Now the SA Communist Party wants to punish me again although I am a changed person. Their accent is on revenge and not reconciliation or forgiveness.

2.3 Information relevant to supposed risks posed to society by me.

2.3.1. It will be seen here that in repeating Judge van der Merwe’s ruling,page 25, that I, the applicant, argued that Ms. Hani’s represntations will be of a political nature and nothing else. It is clear from the Minister’s decision that I was right as her total reasons as well as those of the SACPand Cosatu were only political.

Judge van der Merwe went further after granting her the right to make her submission,although the law introducing this was not in existence when I was sentenced, to state as follows:” Any person, including me, may put relevant information before a Board.” This was done by the SACP and Cosatu in my hearing but is not done in any other parole hearing nor are any political reasons given in objection to the granting of parole in any other instances.

2.3.2. States “the following victims’ statements and satements of opposition were placed before the Correctional Supervision and Parole Board and the Minister”:

Firstly let me state that these statements were not victims’ statements. The victim was mr Hani. The statements are from family members. How the SACP and Cosatu qualify in that category is beyond me.

a)      Decision of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) (AC/99/0172 

How the Minister can also accept that the above decision can be relevant to parole also amazes me. How can it possibly be relevant to the consideration of parole, and as far as relevant matters are concerned the Amnesty Committee in refusing me amnesty took irrelevant issues such as the purpose of the list of names, the prioritising of the names, and the purpose of obtaining the pistol and silencer. How could this be relevant to my application for amnesty for the killing of Mr. Hani?

Point one. Clearly a political object aimed at stopping the handover process. This objective no longer exists.

Point 2. My parole profile clearly reflects that I show remorse and have no opportunity regarding showing appreciation for the “democratic dispensation in our country”. I fail to see the relevance of his comment.

Point 3. I have an excellent relationship with my fellow offenders as can be seen from the list of activities in which I have been involved in prison. I have no doubt that once I am on parole the community will quickly realise that they have no reason to fear me.

Point 4. This point contains a contradiction in that it is first stated that I had not apologised and then admits that I apologised at the amnesty hearing but that the family were not present. There were in a fully packed people from the SA communist Party, Cosatu, the CP and the general public who all heard me apologise. On being made aware of the fact that Mrs. Hani was not in the Hall at the time,I attempted through my advocate, Mr Harry Prinsloo, to arrange a personal meeting with Mrs. Hani, which approach was turned down by both Mr George Bizos, Mrs. Hani’s legal rep. and Mr Jeremy Cronin, deputy leader of the SACP on different occasions. I then assumed that my approaches would be pointless. I am totally prepared to publicly repeat my apology and condolences to the Hani family.

Point 5. The sitting of the Parole Board in June 2010 was specifically to allow Mrs. Hani to make her submission and I was not at any stage allowed to comment. I had already made my comments at the original Parole Board sitting when at the conclusion I was informed by the Board that they were recommending me for release on 15 October, 2008. The profile together with the recommendation was forwarded to the minister but was irregularly intercepted by Mr Balfour’s wife, ms. Mqobi who was regional commissioner at the time before she was suspended and subsequently fired from the Department. She sat on the documents until July, 2009. I went to Court to obtain the recommended parole and was informed by the Court that while I qualified for parole Mrs. Hani must first have the opportunity to make her submission. Eighteen months later she did so, hence the sitting held on June, 2010. The Minister considered the application in November,2010 and sent it back with a request for further documentation. The application was finally considered by the minister and her decision was made on 13 July, 2011, three years after the Parole Board recommended my release.

As far as the comments on the ANC I have no further interest in politics and theses comments are thus irrelevant.

Point 6. There can be no doubt that I accept the nature of the crime and that there is no legitimate reason to refuse to release me on parole.

Given.

Point one. I have received with the life sentence the severest sentence the law permits. The policy of the department states that all offenders, without exception, are entitled to be considered for parole and, if suitable for release, to be released on parole.

Point 2. I fail to see how my still viewing the crime as political poses a risk to the national security and public safety should I be paroled. The judgement clearly states the political content in that it stated that the assassination of a political leader was not an acceptable option. Many offenders were granted amnesty during the hearings for assassinating( murdering) political leaders throughout the country.

I am not nor have I been involved in political activities for the past 18 years and recently had occasion to distance myself from attempts to involve me in politics. This fact can be confirmed by my lawyer, Mr. Marius Coertze who released the repudiation on my behalf.

Let's have a look how it was done so-far: 1. They forced everybody in 2000 to go to the banks and FICA- updating of all your latest personal information before a certain deadline. Should you refuse to meet the deadline- they WILL freeze your bank account...THREAT.

2. They came along in 2010 - and imposed their farce RICA system- where every cellphone user WILL have to go and RICA- AGAIN supplying their database with all your latest personal information before a deadline. AGAIN- should you not comply- your cell signal would be cut. THREAT AGAIN. This was - again by the Media 24 henchmen- advertised in order to "trace " stolen cellphones! Up to today- millions are still "un-RICA-ed"- and no service was "cut." Cellphones that were stolen- and WAS RICA-ed...never were traced again. These that refused to participate in that scam...still are happily using their cellphones up to today. So much for their bullsh*t RICA farce.

3. During last month- the hollered that "everybody" will have to participate in the hell-bent "Census 2011"- and "everybody" will be counted for determining a "better service" for the populace. Should you not comply you MAY be fined R 10 000.00. (THREAT AGAIN- AND AS USUAL- MEDIA 24 WAS AT THE SPEARHEAD TO SPREAD FEAR INTO THE POPULACE). Now- use your own calculation: South-Africa roughly have 53 million "legal" inhabitants ( if we may use this term loosely). We have roughly estimated 22 million illegal immigrants- ( SAID stats)- and then we have appr. 7 million non-registered illegal immigrants. That gives us appr. 82 million dwellers across the country- Metropolitan and rural. This figure- by all means- may be far off the mark- for there are literally thousands more in the cities and rural areas that are not even taken in consideration- and then the black African, Indian, Pakistani and Chinese aliens are still streaming into our country at a rate of about 3000 PER WEEK!

OK- we will stick to roughly 82 million. NOW- remember- the so-called bogus Census lasted only from the 10th to the 30th of October...a total of only 20 DAYS! They - the ANC clever Johhnies- advertised that 1 million "Census workers"- will patrol the whole length and breadth of this land and will write "each and every household"  down. Does something start to smell like rotten fish here? ONE million Romany pickets vs EIGHTY TWO million moving, working, hiding and traveling targets? 20 days? Who is conning who?

What we observed though- is the speed that these "workers" landed in mainly WHITE areas- and worked furiously to jot-down all the WHITE residents particulars! Barely did the Census farce commenced- or you would see the white regime vans and yellow taped operators descending on the white residential areas like a swarm of locusts on a cornfield with the speed of white cuckoo excretion!  They would even visit the white residents 4-5 times a day to make sure they have ALL the details from each and every white face. Now remember- they only have a limited time- 20 days- to jot the whole populace in S.A...but still spent time to visit certain (white) homes more than once?


Some of the  questions they asked- was DEFINITELY not census related questions at all! I mean- what has my workplace, my salary, where I spent most of my time during the week, my position at work, what I do at work, etc to do with with POPULACE COUNTING? Is this yet another sleaze trick to con whites into submission again?Notice the threat again? Now- My old reliable grand pappy (bless his soul)- used to say that anything that has a "threat -tag" at the end- simply comes from the Devil! In all three these cases...the "threat-tag" was there all right- and in all three cases they forced your personal information out of you. It is so clear this NWO controlled ANC is busy updating their "human control" data bank on a regular basis.Are they also preparing us for the NWO created "Project Blue beam" operation?

Now- my colleague was at home when one of these G-Men spies arrived at her home.It was a colored female type(no white "Census workers"  were noticed- presumably only a AA operation I suspect.). My colleague was busy injecting herself with Insulin at the time this off-white Acorn shade creature arrives at her front door.My colleague's boy told the G-Men spy  that my colleague was busy- and could not come to the door immediately. This infuriated the cadaver- and she said she will be back "later." ( She never mentioned WHEN "later."

Well the "later" was about two hours "later" when my colleague was in the bath ( 21h30 appr.)- and again my colleague's boy told het politely to come in- and wait only a few moments until my colleague was dressed. This time- the G-Men imbecile threw all her toys out-of the cot- and with a lot of fanfare-produced a paper- charging my colleague with a R 10 000.00 "fine" for not "co-operating" in the bogus "Census"- and "unwillingness " to produce her credentials.She slammed the piece of long-drop paper on the table- and left without a further word into the darkness where she crawled from.

I went to my work the next day after the "Census 2011" bogus stopped- 01 November 2011- and asked about 20 colored workers and three black workers if these Census ghouls visited their homes. ALL answered a resounding "NO!!!" How many black squatter camps were never visited? How many rural areas in rough terrain did they visit with their smart G-Vans? How many black areas did they visit- or was this mainly a "white operation" for Malema's type of "National wealth distribution" agenda? Now the one interesting question remains: Why are the ANC rat pack so interested in the precise counting of mainly white areas- and why all the personal questions?

To proof that this was aimed at the white populace again- and the whole "Census" operation was a crap corrupt bogus farce...see the proof in the pudding below...and judge for yourself- a letter from a person that caught one of the sleaze-operators red-handed that spilled the beans. Also notice the corrupt supervisor's reluctance and rudeness with the illegal tampering of the forms. The question here is as to why all the "operators" are tampering with the forms? I mean- If the populace will get fines for "un-cooperation" ...then surely these idiots doing the tampering must also be fined- not so? Further-more...SOMEBODY must've given them instructions to tamper- otherwise why would all of them erase and tamper with the forms?Do you smell another rotten fish already?How many forms across the country has been "tampered" with?: Why did the police- that normally have a history of arresting innocent members of public for mediocre generated  charges- not take action against this corrupt "operator?" The perpetrator was sitting there in front of them- evidence , admittance and witness galore!!

The 2011 Census Farce

The census 2011 is a farce. Attached is evidence of a Stats SA employee with eraser in hand, erasing out information on people's forms.  He was sitting at the security hut at Erasmus Road, Edenglen, Edenvale.   When I asked him what he was doing and why he was erasing, he said his supervisor told him to do this.   I asked for a supervisor name, he said "I don't know"   He continued to say "the people made mistakes and I must fix it".

I asked how many forms he was erasing out, he said, "all of them".   I asked to see which forms and he would not show me.  He would not show me from which street the forms were.  He packed them up and put them in his bag.  He would not show me what he was erasing and kept saying I must wait for his supervisor.

A poster on the lamp post gave me details of a supervisor, "Sibongile".  I called her, she tried her utmost to give an explanation as to why the numerators were erasing the forms.  Any kind of tampering with these forms is surely illegal.    As these forms will be counted electronically, I assume, hence the pencil, then any mistake made will be kicked out of the system.  Any statistician allows a percentage for errors. 

Sibongile finally arrived with another homeowner who had offered her a lift to where we were.  I asked him if he was happy with them erasing on his form and he said, absolutely not.  I also stood at the boom gate asking people as they came and went out of the street if they were happy that the forms were being tampered with.  Everyone expressed shock and reiterated that that should not be happening.

Another homeowner in front of where we were came out.  She was dismayed to find her form was at risk and asked to see her copy.  Hers, completed a week ago, they said had already gone to Pretoria.  How do we as ordinary citizens know that each of our forms have not been tampered with.  How certain are we that they have "erroneously erased" a column without our knowledge. 

How can we trust the results of this survey and how can government do what is right if our forms have been tampered with?  I fully understand the reasoning behind a census, if the results and statistics extracted from the information given is true.  However, if any numerator, or anyone else for that matter, is given full authority to erase the answers, be they correct or incorrectly filled in, then that makes this census, null and void and a complete farce.   We have wasted time and a lot of money on a census that will not reflect the true results.

If a student at school is asked to complete their examination in pencil and the prefect who is asked to collect the papers has the right to erase anything on the form, from the desk number to the students name, that would be illegal.  I want an explanation as to why numerators are allowed to tamper with a legal document. 

This is not the first time that we have seen numerators sitting on the side of the road with an eraser in their hands.  We spotted three at the boom gates on the corner of Baker Road and Steyn Avenue, Edenglen, Edenvale, I just did not catch them on camera.

Sibongile contacted her superior who was less astute and far more aggressive in his mannerism to me on the telephone.  By this point, I had flagged down a passing police vehicle and asked for their assistance.  They agreed with me that it was unacceptable for the document to be erased and they too agreed that if the census forms are being scanned electronically, it would kick out errors, which become inadmissible. 

I threatened to go to the media with the evidence in hand, the superior said, "I am giving you the go-ahead to go to the media".  I asked for his name, he refused to give it to me.  He kept provoking me for my name.  I gave him my name, he responded, "I will not give you my name". 

I handed the telephone over to the police officers who spoke to him, when the phone was handed back to me, the rude man on the other end of the phone said to me, "I have given you what you want".  I answered, "what is that?".  "I have given you to go-ahead to go to the media", he said.  "Well can I have your name", I asked.  He did not give me is name, instead he said, "You are not allowed to intimidate the numerators". 

I said "I am doing nothing of the sort".  "I can hear the shouting in the background" was his reply. 

I said that was the Census people and the police officers and no-one was being intimidated. I confirmed with the policemen that I had not intimidated anyone and that I felt the numerators themselves had handled the situation relatively well. 

I am hoping that you will raise the issue of the Census and the question around erasing forms for us to get answers from government. "

Vir die hele Europese Unie is die koers net effens beter.

Ook in die VSA bly die werkloosheidskoers 'n netelige kwessie, en het die sogenaamde "blaming game" in die aanloop tot volgende jaar se presidentsverkiesing begin. Pres. Barack Obama dreig om al hoe meer stappe op sy eie, en sonder die kongres te doen weens die Republikeine se weerstand. Die Republikeine wys egter daarop dat die Huis van Verteenwoordigers reeds 15 wetsontwerpe aanvaar het wat werkloosheid deur veral die stimulering van middelgrootte ondernemings moet aanpreek, maar dat dit in die Demokraties-beheerde Senaat so op die lange baan geskuif word dat dit al as die "vergete 15" bekend staan. Die breë denke oor die aanspreek van die Amerikaanse werkloosheid herinner aan die denke hier te lande: aan die een kant 'n groep wat die ekonomie wil laat vlot deur die beperking van staatsuitgawes, veral op luukshede wat tot 'n uitvloei van valuta lei, en dan maatreëls wil instel wat die privaatsektor wil stimuleer, veral klein- en middelslag ondernemings waar die koste vir die skep van werksgeleenthede per kop die kleinste is. Die leier, Julius Malema, teer eenvoudig op die verskynsel wat politieke sosioloë die ingeboude revolusionêre klimaat van relatiewe deprivasie noem. Dit meet die verskille in vlakke van verwagtinge en die werklikheid, en Suid-Afrika se inkomstegaping is die hoogste meetbare ter wêreld. In hierdie klimaat gedy uitsprake soos die grondgryp-praatjies, en nasionalisering. Dit skep 'n bose kringloop met beleggers wat afgeskrik word, en werkloosheid wat verder groei. Die regering moes lankal besef het: dis nie 'n geval van Malema én ekonomiese herstel nie, maar van Malema óf ekonomiese herstel.
